Haw Creek

Lying in a valley between the mountains east of Asheville is the charming and historic neighborhood of Haw Creek. Haw Creek, named after the native Black Haw shrub that grows along the creek, was originally a farming community in the early 1800's. Now, this community is host to over 2,500 residences while still maintaining that rural feel. With no road outlets to any other part of town, Haw Creek enjoys less trafficked roads and more privacy than other parts of town.

Despite the rural charm, Haw Creek is conveniently located within a 15 minute drive from Downtown Asheville, Mission Hospital, Asheville Mall, and the Blue Ridge Parkway. Easily access both I-40 and I-240 from Tunnel Road, which also has its own shopping and commercial districts. If you work or play in Swannanoa or Black Mountain, Tunnel Road provides a less trafficked shortcut east. And if you travel to South Asheville on the regular, you can enjoy a pleasant and scenic drive along the Blue Ridge Parkway while avoiding all the highways and traffic lights on other routes. Some consider this neighborhood the Best Kept Secret of Asheville!
