High Vista Golf Community in Mills River, NC

High Vista is a Gated Golf Course Community in Mills River with Stunning views of the surrounding mountains and valley.  Located between Asheville and Hendersonville, North Carolina.

HIGH VISTA IS DIVIDED!

It's true! High Vista is located within two Counties. It is located in Henderson County and in Buncombe County NC. Approximately 100 homes/homesites are in the Buncombe County jurisdiction. (Mills River Fire Department is responsible for the entire High Vista Community.) Almost 400 home/homesites are situated in Henderson County - all of which are beautifully nested in the Blue Ridge Mountains!

GOLF COURSE

For over 40 years, homeowners and the public enjoyed the 18 hole, well-groomed, golf course with lush greens that meanders around the front of the mountain then slops down into the lower portion into High Vista Falls.  This well designed course offers 5 sets of tees for all skill levels of golfers.  Unfortunately, the course was closed in 2021 to the public. There are talks in the works of 42 additional units and duplexes with a few homesites being constructed in the place of the course.  This remains a large topic for discussion as there are also other investors wanting to buy the golf course.

ENTERTAINMENT FROM WITHIN!

High Vista still offers convenience - with its location between Asheville and Hendersonville - and a strong sense of community.  Many activities still abound in and near the clubhouse such as weddings/events in the Laurel Room offering stunning panoramic views of the Blue Ridge Mountains.  The Robinson Pub offers small dinners and craft beer with lots of games of trivia & more! The junior olympic-sized swimming pool,  and lighted tennis courts offer more activities to enjoy.  Or one can check out the gardening fun, pickleball, yoga, book club, Mah Jongg, Canasta and let's not forget the MUSIC ON THE GREEN!

DINING OUT!

If all the above isn't enough, many High Vista residents enjoy a variety of dining such as Sierra Nevada Brewery, Mills River Restaurant, Conosur Restaurant, Bakes Pie Company for desserts.  It's also said that you'll run into several neighbors over at the Reuter's Family YMCA at Biltmore Park Town Square where there is a ton of shopping to be had as well!  Stay for the evening at the multiplex Regal Biltmore Grande Theaters! Enjoying drinks and dinner afterwards at 131 Main Restaurant next to the theater.  Mills River also offers many amenities and ease of access to Airport Road and the Asheville Regional Airport. The Laurel Room at High Vista is the onsite restaurant that serves the neighborhood and golfers.  

HOMES ON THE RANGE...

Homes in High Vista neighborhood range in size from 1,500 sq. ft. to 7,000 sq. ft.!  The original homesites on the mountain are large in size (1/2 to 2+ acre tracts) compared to the "Falls" that are as small as .17 acre. You will notice the styles of the homes are from the Ranch style up to the Contemporary with a mixture of Traditional homes, Craftsman homes and Arts & Crafts  style homes in the "Falls".  If you'd rather leave the yard maintenance to someone else, High Vista also offers TOWNHOME Living. These townhomes in High Vista are rare to come on the market, usually only 1 maybe 2 a year, if that.  They range from 1,700 sq. ft. to over 3,500 sq. ft., however, with more planned in the future, one should remain alert if this is your desired location! High Vista also has a secured gate in which security operates during normal business hours.
