Just as the namesake implies, the town of Fairview provides its residents a "fair view" of the Blue Ridge Mountain chain running through Western North Carolina. As a largely agrarian community, the land here remains largely undisturbed, with only a few businesses, schools, and homes visible in on the major roadways. Residents here move to Fairview to enjoy the mountain lifestyle, namely owning a home with expansive and private acreage, lush forested surroundings, and the quiet. With a mix of housing available in this area, you can find your slice of this mountain heaven to call your own. 

Homes here range in style and price, depending on the era it was built. Amongst newer builds, you will find historic farmhouses, bungalows, and country cabin styles. However, some larger developments with an HOA and community amenities are also available. Southcliff, a sprawling Master Plan Gated Community with luxury offerings, lies on the face of Cedar Cliff Mountain just minutes away from the Asheville city border. Just to the east from Southcliff is Fairview Forest, an expansive community that values privacy from neighbors, larger tracts, and access to hiking trails alongside the neighborhood's flowing streams and rivers.

If you are looking for a home that can support whatever hobby you enjoy, often land here is classified "Open Use." This means that you can build outbuildings, host animals, or tinker on machinery in the privacy of your own home without county zoning restrictions prohibiting it.

For that little mountain town feel, grab brunch at Louise's Kitchen in Black Mountain, only 15 minutes away. Mission Hospital is a short 15-20 minute drive away, and the Asheville Regional Airport can be reached in 30 minutes or less.
